Hamilton,ON is known as the waterfall capital of the world. They have 126 waterfalls, all of which are beautiful. Here are some of the most popular ones:
Webster’s Falls is a curtain waterfall 22 meters in height. Located at the Spencer Gorge/Webster’s Falls Conservation area in Greensville. It is also probably the most popular and widely known fall in Hamilton, and has the biggest park associated with a waterfall. When I visited this attraction I was stunned. It was peaceful and really amazing to know that this tourist attraction is naturally made, not high tech and bad for the environment, but just a beautiful piece of nature.
Albion Falls is a classic waterfall 19 meters in height. Located at the southernmost tip of King’s Forest Park in Hamilton, its source is Red Hill Creek. Albion Falls enjoys year-round flow. They have incredible Night Illuminations at these falls. Night Illuminations are when the falls are lit up by colorful lights at night.
Grindstone Cascade is a complex curtain cascade waterfall measuring 3 metres tall and 5 meters wide. It has a year round flow, and is part of the rough ravine of the Grindstone Creek. These falls have been my favorite place to go for my entire life. I have lived in Waterdown my whole life and have visited these falls many times with friends and family. I have amazing memories here and it is an inspiring setting. I love having such an incredible place like this to go to for hikes or sightseeing or photo shoots now that I’m Miss Teen Southern Ontario-World 2013 🙂
I love having these spectacular and natural tourist attractions all in my region. I am proud to be a part of it and to be representing them in July at the Miss Teen Canada World Pageant!
Thank you so much Niagara Falls for sponsoring the Miss Teen Canada World 2nd blog challange.
